Have you ever had one of those days where everything feels so heavy, you wish it was all just a dream you could wake up from?

That’s what ‘Wake Up’ is about. I wrote it in 2020 during a dark moment, when I was struggling with my career and questioning the decisions that had led me there. It ended up being the hardest song to finish on this entire EP, both emotionally and production-wise. But it’s also one of the most meaningful, and possibly my favorite. Very Charlie Puth/Justin Timberlake/Alec Benjamin inspired.

I’ve been sitting on this song for 5 years. Actually, I’ve been sitting on an entire EP (coming in July) and this is the first single.

I’ve just been waiting for the right time to share it.

‘Satisfied’ is a song I wrote when I was (ironically) anything but satisfied. I was unhappy with where I was in my career, and no amount of progress ever felt like enough. This song became a reminder to focus on the positives and find contentment in where I was in my journey.

Fortunately, 5 years later, everything is working out just fine! But this song (and the EP) is a snapshot of that version of me.

Maybe I feel safer sharing it now that I’m out of that rut. Either way, I’m really happy the time has finally come, and I hope you enjoy it!
